“I’m not saying that this was not a good hire for Notre Dame…I just hate the way the system is set up.  Shouldn’t your coach be game planning for your schools $17 Million dollar bowl game in a few weeks? For some reason if a coach wants to switch schools before the true end of the season they can, but if a student wants to transfer he has to sit out a whole year. What happened to all the promises the coach made to the kids families just a few months ago when he recruited them?  What if this would have been the national championship game?  The Bearcats came within a Colt McCoy second of playing Alabama.  Remember a few years ago when Rich Rodriguez left West Virginia hanging dry before the fiesta bowl? You know what kind of hit Michigan’s recruiting took over this? I would not be comfortable sending my son to coach who did what he did. Its not fair to your current players and its not fair to the program.  The system needs to change.”
